About FoodFiltr
For people with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, living gluten-free is a constant challenge. Food, cosmetics, even postage stamps—these things can all contain gluten, and can make a gluten-intolerant person sick.
FoodFiltr is a place for people who lead a gluten-free lifestyle to share information about and promote gluten-free foods, products and services. FoodFiltr also enables members to track the gluten-free status of practically anything—from common foods, to body care products, and beyond. It's a tool that helps gluten-free people lead a healthy life.
The Team
Anne Hjortshoj, FoodFiltr Founder
Anne serves as the founder, designer, and driving force behind FoodFiltr. After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2006, she dedicated herself to leading a healthy, gluten-free lifestyle. With her background in the Web industry (she's worked as an information architect and user experience strategist since 1999), she realized that there was a need for celiacs and other gluten-free people to find and track the status of gluten-free products and services online. FoodFiltr is the result.
